CLM Training NewsThe following information is provided on the latest requirements from vehicle manufacturers on what the automotive supply chain are required/ recommended to adopt with respect to automotive quality management systems.QualityThe following may be taken as a guide on the position of Auto Manufacturers on ISO/TS 16949:· DaimlerChrysler: Require registration of suppliers to ISO/TS 16949:2002. Read the DaimlerChrysler customer-specific requirements.· Ford: Require registration to ISO/TS 16949:2002. Read the Ford Motor Company customer-specific requirements.· General Motors: Require registration to ISO/TS 16949:2002. Read the GM customer-specific requirements.· PSA Peugeot Citroen: Require registration to ISO/TS 16949:2002.· Renault: Require registration to ISO/TS 16949:2002. · Volkswagen: Require registration to ISO/TS 16949:2002. · BMW : Require compliance only to ISO/TS 16949:2002.· Fiat: Require registration to ISO/TS 16949:2002. · Nissan: Require compliance only to ISO/TS 16949:2002. · Toyota: no current QMS requirements, but will reduce 2nd Party audits for automotive QMS registered suppliers.· Other Japanese manufacturers: Acknowledge TS, but don't require it as a supplier approval mechanism. They may reduce second party audits if the supplier is ISO/TS 16949:2002 certified.
